Mr Snyder has worked in St Paul Public Schools for 19 years as a School Social Worker. 16 years were spent at Washington Tech Magnet School supporting both middle school and high school students. He has worked in Special Education for many years and with all students, supporting attendance and mental health interventions in school. 

Mr Snyder is excited to join a very skilled Dayton's Bluff team and work with elementary students. Many years ago, Mr Snyder worked as a youth advocate for young children in transitional housing. He enjoys individual, small group and classroom work with students. 

Mr Snyder is an avid traveler and has been to many countries around the globe over the years. This includes most of the United States, Western Europe, and South America. Machu Picchu in Peru is an all-time highlight. Mr Snyder is an avid hiker and biker and you can find him around the chain of lakes in Minneapolis frequently. Mr Snyder is also a music lover. He plays guitar and harmonica and writes songs of his own. He hopes to strum some songs for the students of Dayton's Bluff in the near future! Mr Snyder also loves sports, was assistant varsity soccer coach for 6 years while at Washington Tech and continues to follow the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, Gophers and MN United with passion. 

Mr Snyder understands the impact trauma can have on students, families and school staff and is trained to help develop a trauma informed school. He has experience in Restorative Practices and understands the impact historical trauma has on many of our cultural communities.
